Excerpt from Carter?s mom?s writings:

Thanks so much for all your support and prayers through this difficult time. As I have said before, it is so hard dealing with the fact that our only baby boy has this devastating disease. I will admit, that I have good days and bad days. There are days when I cry my eyes out and ask "why", but I know that with God we will get through this. Knowing that I have God on our side, those bad days turn in to good ones, because there is one thing about it...I cherish every moment I have with Carter and thank God for him every day. He is such a blessing and I couldn't ask for a more perfect child in my eyes.
