The Johnston County Cooperative Extension Service along with the Johnston County Beekeeper's Association is offering a Beekeeping Short Course starting in November. This course will cover beginning topics such as: History of Beekeeping, Honey Bee Biology, Hive Equipment/Tools, Pest Management, and Seasonal Management. Anyone interested in gaining more knowledge about honey bees or becoming a beekeeper is encouraged to take this class. The class is limited to 24 participants due to room constraints. There will be a charge of $40.00 to cover educational materials used in the course.
