Riverwood Middle School took first place in this year's annual Battle of the Books competition, held Tuesday, March 11. 

Eleven middle school teams participated. The competition consists of questions from a list of 26 approved books that team members must answer correctly for points.

Winning team members, listed below, were coached by teachers Gail Chandler and Jenny Cruz.
