need help

I need to find someone that can clean my modem out. It has gotten real slow and I know it just needs alot of junk removed. Is there someone that is good and resonable? I can deliver.

Modems don't hold anything, so there's nothing to clean out.

Yeah chances are your machine needs to be just gone through and cleaned up. Probably tons of updates would help. Talk to Dan.

WHile technically it is true that a modem doesn't hold anything I have seen time when unpluging a modem and letting it "clear out" has increased performance through said modem.

You can do the same with the ipconfig /flushdns command. But really isn't it time for this user to leave the early 90's and spend a little on Broadband?

Just to confirm...are you talking about a dial-up modem on your computer, attached directly to a phone line.....or....are you talking about a DSL or cable modem that attaches to your computer with a Cat5 network cable or a USB cable?
